I too am interested in Zoos / Rics. What kind of lighting do you use? I read through your Tank thread, have you added any suppliment lighting beyond the 250w MH? or is that where you stand... I have T5s thats why I ask. I would hate to buy some and my lights kill them.

	MH Metal Halide Lighting, typically used for high intensity light demanding corals such as SPS. Bulbs come in varieties of spectrums (7k, 10k,20k), and intensity (175W, 250W, 400W).

Still with the (1) 250w.
Upgrading this week with a 10k bulb & 2 x VHO actinics.
With your T5 set up.....you should be fine with zoos & rics. How many bulbs are you running?
Maybe a fellow reefer with T5's could chime in.

	VHO Very High Output Fluorescent Lighting - Fluorescent bulbs that run on special ballasts and have an output that is significantly higher than normal tubes. It is very possible to run an entire reef system on VHO lighting providing the proper number of bulbs and mixture of spectrums are chosen. For most hobbyists, these tubes are used in conjunction with Metal Halide lighting for simulating dawn and dusk. They often provide the "bluer" end of the light spectrum and thus a more aesthetically appealing display.

Thanks for the reply... House was concerned that your thread was being hijacked earlier (wasn't the intention). So I reworded my post after the original one was deleted. I run a TEK T5 (4 bulb) on a 58 gal.

What kind of MH / VHO bulbs have you chosen? I just ordered a PFO pendant, XM 15K 250w and IC 250w ballast from Marine Depot. If I don't like the way my most recent SPS purchase goes I will switch over the the MH. I want to let them sit under the T5 for a month first.

The stuff House posted are awesome.. you made a nice score there. grats! the colors are intense...

	SPS Small Polyped Scleractinians - Sometimes known as Small Polyped Stony corals. These are hard corals that have extremely small polyps. They are typically on the difficult side and require Metal Halide lighting or dense Power Compact or T5 arrays. These corals are prized for their rareness and ability to be easily fragged into multiple colonies.

2nd one is RPE's kinda pricey, but we can work something out.

Also, the eagle eyes are about 2/3rd of that plug.

Friday morning or later afternoon is best (early eve works too).
