What's the dimension of your tank. I will have one, from 2 inches to tens of yards, that fits your need.

I have 3 choices for you.

1)Using picture 1 in the first post, 3', blue, mounted in a rigid transparent tube, ac/dc adapter. You can tie or screw the zip tip to your canopy. It can lay directly on top of your tank as the tube can be made longer than your tank. Fixed Level Dimmable. $78 retail $68 member.

2)Using picture 2 in the first post, 2 x 20", mounted in 1 or 2 rigid tubes, ac/dc adpater, RGB individual dimmer(making it unlimited in color choice). Mounting method $125 Retail $110 member

3)Using modules shown in upper left hand corner of pic below. 4 of them, a ac/dc adapter, can be mounted with screws or tape. $65 retail, $50 Member, dimmable at fixed levels. Choice of color (specify when ordering). Comparable moonlights made by Current will need ~ 8 pcs to obtain the same amount of brightness that will cost you $82 mail order!

Choice (1) is the brightest, (2) is the prettiest, (3)the cheapest and most common

I already bought a strip of LED lights like the one on the left of the above picture - from ebay. I decided to make a "moon" out of it. Since my old LED's weren't working, I kept them curled up like above and put a wire thru the holes for the old LED's and connected it up to the LED wiring. It works off a 12v power supply, and works almost as brightly off a 9v battery. I will upload a picture later this a.m.

These are the pix I was talking about.

I removed the broken LED's in my MH lights and kept the circle of LED's to resemble a moon. I thought of putting them in a straight line, but I did not think any glue would hold the plastic material. Also, the lights would probably melt the plastic, so I decided to keep it in the metal plate that used to hold the LED's.

This the light when lit.

And this is a blurry pic of my tank at night.

Probably in the future, I'll put up another one on the other end to even out the lighting, but 2 moons might be a little confusing for the coral, eh?

Can I substitute with a LED tooth brush that tells when to stop brushing when the light is off?

So I suppose the LED toilet seat will stop flashing when you should be done, right.
