I am going to the swap looking to buy many frags to fill my 75. Im looking for lps, zoas and shrooms. My question is, if im looking to buy something like a ricordea, should i order it through a vendor and then pick it up at the swap or will there be plenty of ricordeas to chose from there?

Is this your first swap? If so you aren't allowed to order anything or purchase anything until you are ffitted with your official bucket crown. After that you must recite the MR creed and sing the MR song each time you purchase anything live. We don't want to get into what you have to do when you buy drygoods but rubber hoses are involved. :theyareon

ummmm..Zach...aside from the creed, and the song and all that Chief explained above, he forgot to mention that if it happens to be a ricordia in a color I don't already have..you will need to pry it out of my cold dead hand if I see it first! :flower:

hahaha, does this mean I have to do all this since its my first swap as well? There isn't a paddle involved I hope!
On the same lines as what ZBT is asking, I am waiting to get any frags until the swap so do I just come to the swap with open hands or do I bring anything to help me carry the goodies such as a bucket?

I would recommend you bring a cooler bag as it is likely to be quite chilly by then.

Yes, a cooler bag is very important at the swaps. It'll help keep your frags nice and warm on the trip home and while you're shopping around. Something you definitely want to have.

Many usually bring a cooler bag or styrofoam box to keep their frgas comfy at the swap and for the journey home. I'll inquire with Josh to see if we will once again have the MR Logo cooler bags available at this swap!!
my first swap I came with a small cooler, and a 5g bucket...I needed an extra 2 bags to hold all the goodies.
Ouch...I had not anticipated all of my random 'oh this is pretty, and I have about $20 bucks left' purchases. Or the weight of 1 small frag with 40 oz of water in a bag.
My next swap I brought a bigger cooler and like a few heavy duty bags...did I buy anything? Nope. I went home with the free goodies that MR had out for us (fish food, sunglasses, blow up animals, etc).
And yea, that creed rocks and soooo summarizes the feel of the board.
Absolute respect and love for the hobby and its organizms (as well, as a tad bit of being anal ...)
