clown smothering mushroom?

I have pair of small black clowns and one of them loves his mushroom. the mushroom tries to go into his hole but with no success is the clown going to hurt him? here is a picture of him

I also had a question about a quarantine tank. Is a quarantine bucket ok? or will it stress the fish? I know my LFS gets its fish in white coolers so I wasnt sure if a bucket would be ok.

If the mushroom is trying to avoid the clown, it's not happy.

Buckets are useful in acclimating newcomers, not a several week quarantine.

sounds like the clown is trying to host the mushroom. do you have any other corals in your tank?

yes i do. my other clown she? hosts the xenia and the anthellia but the smaller one male? he goes only in the mushrooms. he bothers one for a while and then a different one. the bigger mushroom doesnt mind as much as the one in the picture. but he loves the one in the picture

yeah thats a good idea. if you dont have the lighting for one, try adding another. frogspawn or hammer coral.
some plate corals might be appealing to her?
