I've read lots and looked for years for one of these. Came across one the other day and brought him home. I know about the DSB and the care needed, but recently there has been talk about cooler temps for them. One German site states 68F ??? Would love to talk to someone or hear that they can be kept longer then few years.
Right now and for awhile he is staying in a 10 gallon covered quarantine. (yes the lid is tight!) He is only about 1" long. I'll grow him up in there for awhile before moving him to my (covered) 180 display.
If anybody can send my any good sites or reads on the care of these little guys I'd really appreciate it.

The Sea of Cortez (where the BSJ comes from) gets up into the high 80's at times and down to the mid 60's at others. I've imported hundreds myself and from talking with customers, the main cause of death is the old carpet surfing. Of all jaws, they're are by far the spookiest in the family. I'd shoot for mid 70's myself, that's what we always held them in, and that's the average temp for their area.
