How are members rated?

You have only 7 post and have 5 stars. Is this for experience level or something like seniority or as value to a board AS a member who contributes? wouldnt it be more fair for everyone to be on a even playing field in the beginning? EVEN if you ARE the mod?
Ive been on some boards where (NOT POINTING FINGERS OR SAYING ANY NEGETIVE THINGS AT ALL) some of the mods are wothless and know nothing at all.

Just curious why you have 5 stars.

The user ratings system is completely open and available for anyone to use.

I have 5 stars because I rated myself when I tested the system to make sure it was working. If someone gives me a 1 star rating my average will drop to 3.

Like I said, it is open for everyone to rate each other. There is no particular reason I have 5 stars and it has nothing to do with seniority. If you think any of my advice has been bad, you are welcome to give me a bad rating.
