Do you not feed your tank often? I have tons of these and not once have I seen it around the zoas I have for more than 4 months now. I mainly see them on the glass and rocks and they leave them alone.

There are different types of asterinas, and some seem to not care about corals while others attack them with voracity. I'm currently dealing with them and I've noticed that the ones eating corals have brown on them while the all white/beige ones are pretty innocuous.

Not true Jeanine? Am I spelling that right? I always forget how you spell it. LOL I noticed asterinas of all colors eating my zoos. I don't care what color it is it goes in the toilet or garbage can. I have seen plain white, tinted brown, tinted blue. They are all evil in my book!

Nah they only eat star fish..once they wipe out those asterinas you have to buy a choc chip starfish and keep chopping his legs off to feed them..so F'd up lol

Na just give em the whole thing every 3-4 weeks. A 12 gallon tanks perfect for a harlequin. If you dont mind keepin up with the feedings, theyre so beautiful. And lucky all the astrenias Ive had stay away from corals.

Bongo shrimp are awesome too and would also solve your problem

if he wanted to keep harleys because he likes them its one thing but it seems like he is under the impression its the only way to get asterinas out..if that's the case then its more trouble than its worth in my opinion. There is actually another type of star fish who eats them I can't think of the name off hand
