Newbie, here to learn

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have always been a freshwater aquarium, finally broke it down and now I am planning on my first reef tank. I was recommended to check out Manhattan Reefs when I stopped by Manhattan Aquariums. So I am here to learn.

Can you tell us what size reef tank you hope to have?

not really sure

I was first considering a sumpless 30 - 40 gallon breeder with a hang on back filter, but after speaking to some people I am not sure if this is the way to go. I don't want to spend a lot of money. So I am definitely interested in other more experienced people's opinions, suggestions and such.

No need to spend a lot of $$ when you're on a site like this. Just keep an eye on the marketplace and you can find whole setups for 1/2 what they would normally cost. Or, if you're lucky, free.

Welcome, you have a great attiude. I been learning since my 1st day here in 07. Some really helpful people here. Good luck and be patient. Jim
