I've used Medical dosing pumps for years. You need to use them with a float switch, which you can purchase from the same person selling the medical dosing pump.

Basically you set the dosing pump to 300 and when the water level goes down, the float switch will turn the dosing pump on, resulting in water being dripped into the tank or sump. It works really well and the good thing is you don't have to worry about dumping a lot of water into the tank at once. The only things you need to check are that the float switch is ok and working and replace the tubing every so often.

I use 2 different kinds. the first 1 is a Gemini pc4, which is a 4 channel doser that I use for 24/7 automatic water change.
and the other 2 are Compat 1 channel dosers, that I use for adding vinegar, and magnesium.
They both work flawlessly
Here are pics of both units.

On the Compat pumps I figured out how to disable dose limit, so it's not an issue, as far as air in line I'm still working on that, I found out that if it's primed right their is no issue. I am also working on ml p/h to exceed 250 ml.
As far as setup I fill the 500ml bottles and they are good to go, If you wanted bigger holding tanks it's easy to minupulate 5 gallon pails as well.
