I was just sitting here and staring at my tank, before the power goes out! (well i will prob run the moon lights on the tank with generator)

This question came up?

Can you change the water too often??? I am not saying every day, but say like every couple days do like a 4 or 5 gallon change?? I have 28 gal tank. I know that it takes time and cash for the salt?

But can it hurt? I am thinking no...

From personal experience, when I got lazy and didn't do weekly water changes, the tank did BETTER than when I did water changes. My assumption is that every time you do a water change, even though you are taking out the bad stuff, you are shocking the system and all livestock inside. thats my theory ;D

I normally do 7 gallon change (i buy water in 7 gallon containers). I was thinking of maybe doing some smaller changes more often. I am going to figure out exactly how much salt to get right reading and basically prepackage the salt. And maybe do like a gallon a day or so.

IDK just sitting here thinking and waiting for the storm to hit LOL
