Help me identify this fish

I went fishing saterday.caught this little guy outta Jones inlet about 10 miles offshore .I've been fishing my whole life and never seen one of this guys ,anyone know whAT it is? ?

i never caught one,did it give a good fight like a blue?

No it was about 7 inches felt like a snapper .I was fishing in about 70ft of water .you gotta love fishing in the ocean u never know what u will catch

Caught a bunch of them seining at Oak Beach with Dom around 3 weeks ago. Def. a type of Mackerel IMO. Not sure though.
