omg my son thru a highlighter in my 12 gal nano

so as the heading says my sonthru a marker in my tank and my whole tank is all yellow...i added carbon and a poly filter hopefully that works if not...i might have to go away for a couple of days so i dont lose my vocal chord n have a heart attack

Did you also do a water change? That would help faster than anything.

What kind of marker is it..does it say non toxic on it?

Water change and pics... Maybe if they make it they might morph into a brighter color like a highlighted one. Dam u just scored big bucks... Name them after ur son... Lol..

im doing water changes now it looks like an algae bloom if an artificial one was created...the highlighted is long gone i had to take my anger out on something smh...hopefully the pads and the water changes pulls them thru as far as toxins i dont kno what was in the highlighter

no i should of looked and i thru the carbage out cause i had mess of pappertowels water and all...i did a 5 gallon water i'll do another tom when i have more water...

should have just taken the corals and stuff all out and put in your other tank or just drained that tank and refilled it. It's only 12 gallons lol

Man I need sleep I read the title as "My son threw a Highlander into my tank". Your tank should be fine run carbon and do some water changes like others have said. Glad to hear your corals are better better.

thank god he didnt throw a highlander in there...my tanks looks to be back to normal i was jus really worried bout the toxins ....i now i have put calcium reactor media lock on it..what is that u ask well its the full container of media on top of the hood so he can not move it its too heavy....works great !!
