What is it mean when your skimmer.....

Is not producing foam at the collection cup? I have a coralife 125 skimmer. I mean its producing foam but not like it used to when I first cycled my tank. Any takers?

My Skimmer does not always pull crud out. There needs to be stuff in the water for it to pull anything out. Good husbandry on a tank can minimize the amount of skimmate...

But then again I am not sure about the settings on your skimmer. But since you are getting some foam then it may be ok. I am not familiar with your skimmer how are the bubbles created? Maybe need to have the venturi cleaned?

Coralife skimmer is very tempermental. Any minor change, such as feeding, sock replacement, or buildup and it will stop skimming. Glad I got rid of mine..
Take it out a give it a good cleaning.
