Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has/had one of these guys...picked one up at the LFS a couple of months ago...someone had traded him in for being aggressive, but he has not bothered anything in my 24 gallon so far...he is with a gorilla crab, a yellowtail damsel, and blue devil damsel, 2 peppermint shrimp and three snails....he made his home under a big curved rock at the bottom and that's where he hangs....I have tried all sorts of things to feed him, but it seems he likes mysis shrimp only...if anyone has any personal experience I'd love to hear it...Thanks!!

He's kinda cute :)

These :lobster: are true carnivores so he is going to want meaty foods as his main diet. Mysis is good but he will be your best buddy if you give him some clam meat :eat:

I had one years ago...as Kathy mentioned clam, muscle, silversides are all good foods for it, but those damsels and probably the shrimp, crab are on the menu too...they are nocturnal hunters catching fish etc.. as they sleep in the rockwork or try to ambush them so keep it well fed and it may not hunt too aggressively for the fish.

Thanks guys!!
KathyC-- I thought he was cute too:)
I tried to feed him clams and silversides and he just comes out of his cave and shoos it away...I have one of those Kent Sea Squirts that has a prong on the end and I was putting Krill on it and he seemed to like that...then two days ago he didn't want that either...he goes to town on the mysis shrimp though...I'll just keep trying the clams...and as far him eating anything else, the damsels chase him away from food and when he comes out to get the mysis, my shrimp are right next to him eating sometimes...so hopefully they all stay happy in there:)
