Well finally got my mag 18 today, its all started by me testing it out in the bath tub only to see it shooting water to the ceiling and then bouncing over the tub onto the floor....so i quickly unplugged it only to grap part of the metal conductors with wethands im sure you can figure out what happened...Now I think I over tightened my bulkhead ...hopefully it doesnt break the glass....then i think i over tightened the adapter on the pump ...since i used a pair of pliars then heard that twisting plastic sound as i countinued to tighten...well hopefully everything ends up NOT leaking. That will make me happy

Odd is not good when it comes to pumps. Those things are supposed to be one of the more reliable components of a marine tank, along with lighing and heating. JMO

0 - since you suppose to have a hose or pipe connected to it :D

Go to Reefs.org, they have manufacturer's spec for just about every pump. You can find a chart for the flow vs. head pressure in there, it should be more than 2 feet for sure.
