Feeding

i know when i feed my tank my protein skimmer stops working and has to basically reboot normal for all skimmer i understand. my question was should i turn it off while i feed or can i just keep it always running. their are more bubbles that come into my DT after i feed but it eventually stops so it doesnt bother me to much.

I turn all external pumps off this also includes my skimmer, and I also go into feed mode with the vortechs.
