Im looking to either purchase or make a new nano anywhere from 2-6 gallons. Im new to the nano reefing but all these great pics from MR guys has made me jealous.

I would like to put SPS and a Yasha Goby and a Candy Stripe Pistol Shrimp .

Any suggestions on lighting, filtration? I would probably try something like what the ninjafish guy does. Using eheim with chaeto and light and live rock. His tank is unbelievable.

The most challenging part of keeping a NANO is to maintain those parameters. I would go with 10g or 12g if possible. JMO

cyloq,

You may want to skip the goby and instead just go for a crustacean of some sort. In that small of a tank, carpet surfing doesn't have to be a species tendency to look pretty good after a while.

Try to automate some things ATO, etc. The small volume of water will change quickly.

Check out coralcrazy's lighting thread for a small desklamp metal halide.
