I was going to get some large rubbermaid garbage cans to mix water in.

Is there any worry about the new plastic leaching anything into the ro/di water?

j,

i think you have to look out for garbage cans with anti-mold agents in it. those can potentially leach into your water and become toxic.

Jon, these are the tubs that they're talking about. I picked up a few myself. I'll see if I can locate his #. He's located in NJ near New Brunswick or East Brunswick. I don't remember exactly.

thanks Russ, very creative measuring :) but Bud Light?

We have to upgrade your beer :D

Damn, I should have added a disclaimer. My son was home from college. It appears they drink the least expensive, most often on sale beer available. Those were HIS mass consumption items!!

:chefico: = Corona or Killians Red for me.

Jon, he was out of them on March 28th. He gets them as throw aways from a company someone he knows works for. I'm sure he either has them by now or will be getting them soon. They are worth the money, big time.

If you're in a rush, the Rubbermaid Brute 50 gallons with wheels are also great. Heavy duty and will not break down nearly as quickly as the cheap ones. They run about $50 apiece though.

that looks cool Sean, I don't think I have room to keep that in the apt. other wise I like the idea of being able to mix almost a full tank of water at once.

JHale,

I am in the same predicament you are in, I need to buy something I can mix my saltwater for WC's. I found this item online at "The Container Store" I called them up and they told me the bottom was one piece so no water leakage issues. I also liked the fact that it has wheels to move around and has a max weight capacity of 225 lbs ~ 25 gallons of saltwater is my calculation is correct. Price is $39.99 located in Paramus NJ (off Rt 17), not sure where else. I should be getting one this weekend.
