250W MH Bulb Recommendation

Right now I have 3 250W IceCap Ballast with IceCap Pendants that can be adjusted to 250W or 400W. the bulbs I have always used r Pheonix 14000K DE bulbs. the blue that the phx give out is great I also use 2x60" t12 VHO Bulbs. im starting to get redisH orange algae grow on my sand bed n im guessing its time to change the MH BULBS 10 Month old at 7hrs a day VHO Blue actinic are over a year old.

My question would be what would be a good DE MH bulb 250W that would be great for coral Growth & color. I hear 10000K is good on growth but gives off a yellowish color but which brand would be good n to add color should I continue using the t12 VHO but with Super Blue actinic? Any suggestions would be appreciated n any personal experiance can be noted.

I have a 150 Gal tank 72Lx18Wx29H

I use the 14K 400w w/super actinic. gives great growth but not blue enough. btw if you really want gorgeous coloring add a red light bulbs and watch the colors pop. Red White and Blue, you cant go wrong with those colors and those colors dont bleed or run.

If you are looking to back off the blue a bit, the Ushio 14K is the way to go in conjunction with actinic supplements. It is a "white" 14k compared to most but certainly not yellow. They run well on IC ballasts too ( something I don't think the Phoenix do), but they are quite a bit whiter than the Phoenix you are used to.

now on the ushio 14k, how is the coral growth? Ii have SPS, LPS, n some softies. i'de like the growth to be a bit faster than the phoenix. i'de like to keep the bluealso but will my actinics help on that if i go w/ the ushio?

Growth is excellent. The more actinic you add, the bluer it will be.
