Yes, there are those packs out there. There are also packs of 6 frags for $50 out there. Some people HAVE to have the next "it" coral and they will pay to get them. Heck, I got a lot of my zoas and palys for next to nothing from my local reefer friends. If you look around and make some good friends, the deals are always out there. I hate charging for frags and so far I haven't, I just give my z and p frags to my friends.

It's just you, lol. Depends on what's in the pack and they're usually cheaper than buying the same corals seperately because the seller needs to get rid of it.

I buy frag packs for items that generally grow faster. Colonies/mini colonies for those that tend to grow slower. I rather not wait 10 years for a colony to grow full size.

Price is based on who you buy from and what type of coral your getting. If it is high end or low end then obviously there is a reason for the huge price difference.
