150w MH over 10g?

So does anyone know a good height to hang a 150w over a 10g? I am only housing LR and LS. Later will be maybe adding some corals maybe. Is 150w to much light for my little tank? Can I find 20k 150w bulbs?

if you dont have corals and might not put them in why did you go with such a powerful and expensive light

Hey do it and let me know how hot does the water get after an 8 hour photoperiod.

I think any over 4 inches will bleed too much light into the room. There are a few brand of 20,000K 150W DE bulbs.

If you're going with 150 MH why not go with a bigger tank? I think a 65 gal is small enough for 1 MH. Think about how much you will have to top off a 10 gal every day.

But realy if I can find a cheaper set up for now Im all game because of energy waste. I would prefer someones used PC's but not having luck with getting them cheap. Satellite is like $88 maybe just go with them for now.

If your getting it free, why not take it. Just use it on a slightly bigger tank like a 15 gallon.

The ballast I have is no good, I will find out more tomorrow. But I think my old man wants to keep the pendant. It's all aluminum with louvers stamped into both sides. Made by an ole skool chopper freak friend of my old man!
