anyone using BRS GFO

does it make any difference vs the phosban/ rowaphos stuff?
I have a 210 gallon and running a phosban 550 and biopellets
any advise would help

+1. I switched to the more expensive PO4X4 and my phospates went way up. I am switching back to the cheap, bulk stuff which always worked for me. A refutation of the "you get what you pay for" axiom.

BRS puts out great products. Can't go wrong, and it get's even better if you get a group buy together.

i love it, and the rox was too much, when i went to zoevit i had to go with the less expensive carbon..

Bob, you will be happy with it. One thing I will say... Don't use as much as they recommend. I typically use about 1/2 the recommended amount.

curious you said rox was too much? too much money or something else?

oh yeah, I recently bought BRS GFO & lignite carbon. I started using it yesterday. Too early to have an opinion though. But I have high hopes.

I use to use Phosban, I changed to BRS' gfo!!! Better, and a lot more economical. No complaints here. I'm sure you'll also be happy with it.

Only problem is using it with the TLF reactors you need to use something a little denser then the sponges that come with the TLF. I purchased some blue & white polyfilters, cut them to fit over the TLF sponges. That stopped the gfo from going through.
