Led fixture Hieight Off tank

I have three led heat sinks with a total of 72 cree leds.When i added the last heat sink my soft corals started to bleach and my anemones shrunk.tank is a 150 high. what distance showed i raise the fixture from tank so the corals can adjust. right now its 6 to8 inches off water.

I would borrow a PAR meter from someone on here, I don't have one or else I'd lend you it, and get reading from the sandbed and levels throughout the tank. That would give you the real deal answer on how much light they're getting and will help you get the right height and as well as move your more and less light sensitive and needy corals to places where they'll best be happy in the tank.

Only reason I say to do this is you just switched to the final step you have so it'll inform you more than many other ways.

I would start at 12" high then work from there

Are the leds dimmable ?. If so drop it down to 40% if not you in trouble.

When using LED's try to keep them 10-15" off the surface of the water, and as batt600 said, if they are dimmable lower it a bit and slowly increase it as the tank gets used to the lighting.

thz will try to raise it 12 to 15 inches .they are not dimmable
