Icecap T5 plastic clips melted!

The clips keep getting warped by the heat of the bulbs. Well one finally melted to the bulb! I called Icecap and they are sending me 4 pairs of metal clips to replace the plastic ones. They said a few people have complained of melting clips but a very miniscule percentage.

Anyone else having their clips warped from heat?

UPDATE:
Icecap UPS'ed my new metal clips today. They are much better IMO, icecap said that they stopped using them due to complaints of rust.

I'm also going to upgrade my 80mm fan to a 120mm fan with blue LEDs (for moonlight effect) tomorrow. As I was changing out the clips I noticed that these bulbs run HOT. The 80mm fan makes a difference in the temp inside my canopy but not much.

i'll take rust over a fire hazard.

my hood is lined with aluminum just in case.

Fred, good info. Thanks for the heads up. Fire hazards can't be kept quiet.
