pink carpet

was in a lfs yesterday seen a pink carpet anemone. was beautiful and $300.00 wanted to buy it. but since i never seen one this color could it be dyed..

Apparently carpet anemones do come in pink.

Carpet Anemones are available in a variety of colors. Blue, purple, green, pink, orange, white, yellow, gray, and brown specimens are found. The color is determined by the type of algae growing in the tentacles and the amount of light that the anemone is exposed to.

$300 is cheap, I have only seen them for $400 and I know www.rareclownfish.com has like 4 of them for his breeders.

Might be a bleached or bleaching red.

is there a way to tell if its natural color or dye? cause it should be a crime to dye them. there should be like a carpet anemone police or something.

no i have not had the chance to get it.. if you want it get it. i need to make alot of room in my tank before i can get it.. i love carpets but they kill anything they touch..my
