Yellow algae?

I get some brown algae on my crushed coral substrate floor if I don't remove it the algae eventually turns yellow is that normal? My nitrates have been a little high lately 10- 15.

How old is the tank?

I bought the tank set up 2 years ago before that it was up 5 years as a 90 gallon reef. 6 months ago I upgraded to a 120 reef adding new substrate and 20 lbs of rock.
Kath I saw you give somebody advice on using glue underwater I thank you works like a charm.
