Got bored last night so I did a big water change and rescaped the tank a little. I replaced four powerheads with one of those DIY tunzes...thanks David. It's way more flow that the four old ones that I had in there, so I'm happy and so are the corals.

The DIY thingy is strong enough that the clown gets stuck to the intake sometimes.
Nothing to hurt him but it takes him that way.

heh i can make them small, but i made that thing to mix my salt. so i had some acrylic tubing, tried to make a tunze houseing look alike, failed but hey DIY is never 100 percent. Like chris said it moves water , i think that's what he really cares about.

ricky, reef guy, sure i be glad to help. i gave that thing to chris for 20 bucks. he seems to love it hehhe.

See I'm thinking of it this way. Before I had four powerheads in there taking up alot more room. Now One powerhead in the corner away from everything is pushing water like crazy. David thats for sure all I care about is that water moving. It does look cool..i think i looks better than a powerhead even though its big.

Andres, from front to back its about 10 inchs and side to side its about 4-5inches. It doesnt look bad at all.

I know a partial list if it helps;

A MJ600
A 1/8inch titanium rod (prolly like 4inches)
A propeller or 2 for the corkscrew effect\
Some PVC for the housing around the propeller
Some sort of Glue
Some rigid airline tubing

I think thats it. If I forgot anything Dave could jump in.
