I went on liveaquaria.com, i am having a hard time understanding this fish. It says that they can tolerate high temps between (76-78) but they are found in waters that are (60-72) to cold for coral? Anybody have an experience with this fish.. i assume that the high temps(76-78) will reduce the number of years that the fish has drastically..

no personal experience but if I remember correctly there was some discussion on RC about the catalina goby and most that purchased one did not have it last long. They are a cold water species and don't typically do well in home aquaria.

Here is a thread on RC by Steve Weast who created a cold water tank for these and other cold water species:

I dont have experience with them but I have read in numerous places that they are a cold water species which are often sold, either mistakenly or unethicaly, as reef fish. Its kind of like putting goldfish in a tropical tank. They might survive at first, but definately not in the long term.
