I was bored because it was so slow today. I got to thinking what was everyones best individual recovery of a piece of coral.

What happened and how did you get it back?

My whole tank is a recovery! I went from ultimate destruction to ultimate growth. Let's see if I can pull a before and after shot.

My Red Lobophyllia. The first two shots are the day I received it. You can clearly see skeleton on the top and right side. Not to mention all the rest of the tissue recession.

The last two shots are 6 months later.

Same here except I did not have ultimate growth yet.
Brought a completely crashed tank setup and after 3 to 4 months some are doing great while mushroom just doing OK. Some growth more than 10X while one species faded away.

One coral which I do know the name was thought to be dead by EVERYONE(except me) revived and thrilling right now.

Notice the cup coral, it was only half the size with the most 10 "flowers" when I first got them. It's the only one that looks alive upon purchase.

close to this bad when first purchased but slightly better than my recently crashed rock tank

Swimmer,

How long does your lobo grow back to red for the white flesh there? I have one that has half of flesh rubbed away during tranport to me but now that all flesh has grown back but the color is only white. So nwo I have a ying yang coral

Mine healed in the red. It did not heal white like you're describing. Not sure what's going on with yours. I'd like to see a few progression pix if you've got them.
