Not sure whats going but I feel like the skimmer is not working properly. There's rarely skimming and it's not really bubbling. I did clean the skimmer inside out. Is there something wrong going on with the skimmer?

Please advise

I had this skimmer. It works great when clean but clogs very fast. The pin wheel has very small holes and spacing between the
Fingers. Mine needed to be cleaned about once a month. I didn't keep the black screws in near the top allowing me to just lift the internals out without moving the skimmer. Take apart the housing and clean the pinwheel.

It also has a small hole where the air lines feeds in. That used to clog with calcium deposits also.

I cleaned it a few times and still doesn't work as good. I have to put the cup all the way down so it could possibly collect some type of waste. I seriously doubt my water don't have waste.

Cleaned the pin wheel and it's working so much better

Yeah. Great skimmer but high maintenance. Glad it worked out.
