Yep, I finally eliminated all of the Aptasia in my 40 breeder system. Last week I returned to my office to find a flood on the floor and the sump completely full of water. It seems that the ATO stuck in the on position and pumped RODI into the tank until the timer cut it off, but the sg in the tank had dropped to 1.019. Everything in the tank looked stressed, including the fish. I quickly began to make water changes to bring the sg up towards 1.025, and by the next day the tank salinity was OK, but nowhere were any Aptasia to be seen. Of course, the same could be said of the candy cane, and most of the other corals were shrunken or contracted. We're now a week into the catastrophe and the only thing really thriving at this point is the Kenya Tree, which is taking advantage of the low competition to spread out. So, if you want to get rid of your Aptasia, and even grow commercial quantities of Kenya Tree, this is the way to go:grumpy:
