What is the best, most cost effective way to control algae on glass and rocks? some of the algea growing on my glass is so tough to get off using a magnetic scrubber, is there anything i can add to help with this problem?

Eliminating the issue causing the algae will help even more

What can you tell us about the tank..
What are the parameters? Do you use RO/DI water and have you checked your TDS lately? How long has the tank been set a up?
A pic would be helpful to ID the type/s of algae you are having issues with.
