Im thinking about getting the Apex LSM module but everyone says the moon light LED's that come with the module are too intense. my set up is a 120gal 48x24x24 and was thinking to get the 2 or 3 led set up. Neptune says 1 led covers 16x16 to 24x24 area so my thinking is that a 2 led set up would be enough. Anyone who has this module can you post a pic with your size of tank info and comment on this. Thanks in advance.

Tank 48"x30"x22", 5 leds lunar, 30" above the water surface, love it !
Is strong light only when is full moon other days are not that strong and sometimes is even ON during the day cause it simulates the real moon phases.

Yes 5 and I don't think so is overkill, I have the older model so I can adjust the intensity but i run it anyway at full.
And yes I have it installed 30" above I'll snap some pic for you...

I have the older version on my Apex as well and love it, tanks 96x36x27 and have 5 LED setup; could use another row but works well with the 5. Full moon is bright but IMO should be, there is an adjustment dial so the full moon isn't as bright. Takes a little getting used to as the controller mimics actual lunar times/intensity but still a great add on.
