i have a question, i checked the ph of my ro/di water i use for top off. It has a ph of 7.4 or lower, should i be bringing it up to tank ph of 8.2. tanks been up 3-4 months and no problems. thank's

Test the pH after you have added your salt mix.
No need to made any adjustments before then.

No you do not have to buffer top off water. If you top off a lil at a time, it shouldn't affect your dt ph

thanks for the replies, ph is good after adding salt, was concerned about top off but it trickles into sump.

pH measurements of ultrapure water are nearly meaningless - so no need to buffer the top off water
