Live sand and fish town USA questions

The first question revolves around live sand. I put in 40 lbs of Natures Ocean and now 4 days later Im seeing red spots all over look like little circles. Is that correct? Further, if I put in base rock, will this algea be the right stuff to grow?

Second, how much is Fish town currently selling their live rock for ? anyone know?

The red spots might be algae growing if it is its normal.

As the tank cycles you can expect the red and green cyno... keep the tank well circulated and it will pass with time

Thx. I notice that the spots only come out when I turn the lights on and receed when the lights are off. Crazy perhaps but thats what I see????
