Whats up everyone,as some of you might know 2 of my fish decided that the afterlife might be better. This means I can go shopping for a new edition to my tank.
Right now I have:
29 Gallon Tank
2 false percs
1 fireshrimp
1 strawberry crab
1 longspike sea urchin
5-6 hermits

I want something but I don't know what. I have had a:
Purpleback Pseudocromis ...aka little bastard
Watchman Gobie
Yellow Tang

I kinda want something different that I haven't had before that might be cool and not too expensive. Heres a pic of the fairly new 29 gallon

what can I add?

definitely not another tang, that tank is just to small, for tangs.

but there are many other cool fish out there for you.

I like the orchid dottyback. they are hardy and add a little color to the tank.
Whatever you do don't order it from etropicals though

i have a 29 gallon as well, it is open top, and i have one false perc, a 6 line wrasse, and an anthias. the anthias was cheap, i think i paid $6.99 for it. the biggest problem is they eat every day like 2 times a day. none have jumped yet :D

Is there any place that could be recommended that doesn't have a a $75 minimum order. or maybe just stick to the places that I have been going.

How about a julii cleaner wrasse?

julii wrasse

They are really fun to watch swim around and pick at the rocks, and they occasionally clean fish. I had one for awhile in my 55 gallon. They have them at new world pretty often for $25. If you buy one, just make sure you see it eat first...the downfall is they have to eat often...

Or how about a red thorny star, I know you were looking for fish but I think they are cool

Where is Fishtown? (please don't say Brooklyn)

Missy Johnson: I had a one of those stars once and my old Coral banded Shrimp ripped to shreds. I paid $35 for that star! I got rid of that shrimp the next day.

They have great price, cheapier than some online places, and they get in some rare fish and sell them pretty cheap. But you need to quartine their fish before you place them into you tank or your asking for trouble. The fish that are in the middle tank, with the corals are better than the fish in the other tanks but even then you still need to quartine them.

There sales people aren't the best, some are good though, and they're looking to just sell you the fish they have. So you need to know what your looking for and about the fish before you go there.

can someone find a place that has that starfish. If it's reef safe and not as sensitive as a linckia i'd like to get one.

BDK - That is a shame about your red thorny star...sometimes it's hard to predict what will happen in your reef...

Jon - Petco at Union Square gets a bunch of these in from time to time. They sell them for like 5 or 6 bucks. We have 2 from there. They are reefsafe and beautiful - although I will warn you, not as mobile as a linkia (but much easier to keep) - sometimes they like to camp out for days at a time in a corner of you tank on the glass...
