So when I walked in I'm from work and saw my hermit climbing on the overflow. I was like what the fu*** lol I've seen this going on for a while so I thought it would stop but it hasn't. Does my hermit crab need help? I don't want to pay for consoling lol

Maybe your water quality is bad and he is looking for better digs. Just kidding, that is weird. Had you had the crab in the tank for awhile, or is it new? If the crab is new maybe it is a species that does not want to be submerged.

I was going to say the same thing....mine got caught up in the return pump ,I thought my tank was going to explode!the noise that came out of that pump was bone wrenching

I doubt it would ever get caught on overflow and go to the return pump. It's shell is the size of a nickel. Which the hole of the overflow where it sucks in the water is the size of a penny.

I had a 28 nano with the overflow in the center with a few missing fingers so I could have a power head on the back wall...the previous owner of the tank had it setup that way,and by the way there are smaller hermit crabs than the size your talking about.
