Filter sock help

I bought a used sump from somebody, but cant find the right size socks, it needs a 4x12, all I can find is 4x14!

I searched but cant find anything like that locally, is it a problem if I use the longer socks? The cube partition of the sump where they are hung has slits cut at the bottom to allow flow to the next chamber, I'm just concerned that the extra sock slack would clog those slits.

you can use a 4x8 and change it more often. your right you don't want to block the drains.

Can you cut and sew them back together if you truly cannot find the one that fits

I just make my own using the stuff for gutter drains comes 4"x??' and sew it to the length I need.
