Yesterday after a large water change a puff of what appeared to be smoke started coming out of a rock it continued for 2 minutes it made the water cloudy wierd lol anybody know what might have happened(

This is crazy you posted this ,I was just looking at my tank and I see the same thing I am like wtf it came from a few spots, I look closer and bam stomynella snails they were squeezing and the sperm was in the water. Now I know why I have so many little ones all over.They clean the hell out of the rocks.It was pretty cool seeing it happen.Its great you find new things in there all the time.

Not uncommon at all..it can be snails, bristleworms, coral..etc.
Seeing for the first time can be surprising.
It does typically happen after any/all of the following:
a water change
lights out
a full moon

The tank will look as if someone spilled milk in it, but it clears up in a few hours.

Your corals & fish will love it and sometimes you get lucky and get more of the same good critters in your tank for free :)

If you were lucky enough to see bristleworms spawn in a lit tank..the sperm is hot pink in color!
