Hippo tang aggression

My hippo tang is really pissing me he/she nips at my purple tang mostly
But sometimes at flame angel and even my clown fish . Dont want to pull
My tank apart to catch him is there something I can do to stop this. Maybe
Put 3rd tang in tank or will this make it worst?

Supposedly feeding them nori regularly helps keep aggression down. Also try taping a mirror to the tank glass. Sometimes it sees itself and will "attack" itself until it calms down.

Surprised the Purple Tang isn't being the aggressor, they are usually the pushy tangs and are known to be the boss of a tank. Are they all the same size?

I added a Powder Brown and he beat the heck out of my Blue Hippo to the point of my having to remove the Powder Brown...catching him was fun. The PBT was smaller than the hippo too, but he still pushed him around.

+1 to feeding them well. In my experience a happy fish is a fat, well fed fish.

To answer everybody's questions tank is 90 gallons hippo is 4 1/2" purple is 4" approx they were both put in tank back in June . Feed them nori every night
Never tried mirror . And mark u said catch it and take him out , out of tank or take him out lol.

Yeah take a hammer to him (take him out) seriously though ...I had the same problem...I would sell him and get another one he might be racist.lol
