Not sure what's happening. The other clam is fine. It still opens but there's a part of it that looks like it's pulled in all the time. It's the one on the right.

your clam looks like it has pinched mantle disease. I'm not an expert but i'll bet it will be dead within a couple of days. I can see it splitting at the bottom. To be honest, your other clam doesn't look to happy either in the photo. It should be open more with its mantle fully exposed. Clams are tough to keep, key is finding a healthy one from the start. Good luck...

What are your water parameters, also those clams look under 3 inches. In that case they require feeding and more stable parameters. how big are they? I have never had success with small 3 inch clams, 4 inches and above have always done well for me.

Phyto every 3 days will not do, they need daily feedings and even then its a big chance you took getting them that small, Im curious how much you paid for them at that size and from where? if youve had them for 3 months they hardier than most, but probably need more feedings, daily. I agree with others tho, the one on the right is on its way out.

Wow, $50 for 1.5 inch clams:shocked1:, well anyway, the one on the left looks ok, they are like babies at that size, they need alot of attention, stable parameters, lots of feedings, and stable lighting schedule. are any fish picking at them? or shrimp?
