I have lost perfectly healthy Favias and acans over the years for no reason at all. With perfect parameters and nothing bothering the coral at all. I think sometimes corals die due to age, but I'm not 100% sure on that or they have something else wrong internaly. Just my thoughts.

hey mark whats doing actually zuska may be right unfortunatly favias like a lower dkh but if you lower it you destroy everything else in the tank we play god with our tanks mixing and matching fish and corals from all over the world if one coral in hawai does well if you take that same coral that never thrives in the philipines and put it there it might die

You will not destroy everything Ells in your tank by lowering your DKH
Over amping your coral with hi DKH is BS. They do not need it and it is a waist.
Dont fall into the More is better, more is better, more is better.........
BS

+1. I run 7.5 8.2. NSW is usually around 6
