i been having alot of brown slime in my tank will someone please tell me how i can get rid of this i just did a water change 4 days ago and it is still here thanks for the help
Do you have enough grazers?
Increase protein skimming. When you do a water change, scrape some of the brown slime off with a tooth brush and remove it from the tank. Most importantly, find out what is causing the brown slime and fix it.
Hey tony... I would syphon out the slime and do WC. There not much else you can do besides check waht you're using to make the water...are you still using that store bought gallons of purified water? or maybe its time for you to change your RO/DI filter catridges. Back in my old Nanocube I used ALgone to get rid of the slime since I was using tap water and it helped somewhat...but I would think where you're getting your water is the sources....goodluck
i been using poland spring distilled water i just ordered a ro system it should be here in a week..it bothers me because i thought that distilled water was good, and just to let everyone know i have the tank for 3years now..anyway thanku everyone if anyone has some more input feel free to chim in have a good day
If you haven't already then you should test for nitrates and phosphates. What is your lighting, what is the lighting schedule and how old are the bulbs? What size tank and what skimmer are you using? What is your bioload and how much do you feed? It could be lots of things and more info is needed to help make a determination on plan of attack.
