As title says I am setting up an AIO frag tank and could use some help.

bw4d.jpg

I am looking for starboard for the bottom if anyone has some. Size is like 17x14. Also anyone in/near BK heights that could lend me some tools to hookup my RODI under the sink. I just moved and forgot mine. Also if anyone nearby is doing a water change I could use some water and LR rubble to get it started. I brought some LR when I moved but since forgot my tools couldn't get water made. Thanks.

what tools do you need?
I could bring over a gallon (from old water jug) of used water
I actually just threw out some rubble rock...but im sure i can find a small handful somewhere behind the larger rocks.

I dont have starboard though. I'm actually going to be redoing my CK AIO tank (looks like yours just mine has the eurobrace) and was looking for starboard too.

Why are you using starboard in a frag tank? Are you adding rocks? Usually people use starboard only for the fact if they went barebottom it will take stress off the glass from the rocks and in case a rock falls. If you arent using rocks there is really no need for it

I was told I should have some LR in the frag tank. Didn't want to scratch the bottom up although I guess it is just the bottom and already has some scratches anyways so maybe I am just over thinking things. I have never setup just a frag tank so am not really sure the steps to do so (ie cycling etc).

I have almost same tank. In the chamber where the water enters I filled that section with small live rocks. Second chamber I put baby heater and skimmer. Third chamber of course return pump. You can add more if you want a lot of LR there too. Enough to hold your bio load. Adding starboard not needed.

Ok I filled the back chamber with rubble (had to use the middle one as my media reactor goes int he first). If I were to get some star board from cuttingboardcompany what size should I order the inside of my tank is 12 1/5 x 15 7/8, has anybody ordered from them before and know their tolerances or how accurate they cut? Also should I get sharp corners or rounded? I was thinking of maybe having some LR in the display part just for my fish to have something to play on.

Be careful with the back chamber -- being filled with rubble, it will quickly become a nitrate factory.

Typically, you want to order the starboard 1 inch less than the actual tank dimensions. Some will say it should be 1 inch on all sides but imo that's a bit much. The cuttingboardcompany website you mentioned has been very good IME. Accurate and very quick turn around time.

Also, remember that starboard floats on its own so you'll need rock to weigh it down.
