Need help with plumbing on marineland tank

I have a marineland 120 rr , I am.having some.trouble plumbing the return pipe. The return kit includes a dual nozzle loc line, there is a precut opening on the overflow where you are to can connect the loc line to the return pipe However it seems I'm have lean the pipe to get it to match the hole. Is it.supposed to be that way. With the pipe leaning it seems as if the gasket on the bulkhead.us more exposed then it should be and.I am.nit.comfortable with that. Can anyone chime in with some tips, this is my very first drilled tank. I have included a photo.

I just setup mibe exactly. Don't try to bring pipe to hole. Take the elbow off screw the loc line fitting to the elbow. Then adjust to fit once you sure it goid pvc it in. Also don't glue your overflow pipe elbow on at top. Yoy may need to adjust to five tune so you don't get water crashing down.. bottom pipe glued though.
