Like Chief said, Flatworm exit made by salifert. You can get it from premiumaquatics or marinedepot. Pretty safe!

Russ AKA Masterswimmer had a method involving the dosing of fwe and immediate water changes that works well.

For what it's worth, i run it for like 2 hours before running the carbon and doing a water change. From what i can tell, i think it's safe to go even longer, but don't quote me on that.

Be very careful before you use FWE, a lot of bad results from it specially if you have a large population of Flatworms. When they died they release toxins into the water and could cause really problems in your tank, even with large water changes and running carbon.

You want to try and siphon out as much of them as you can. It's best to do this with the lights full on, as they like the light, and siphon out as many as you can see. Keep doing this over a # of days until you get them control. You may want to try a # of different wrasses also, it's hit or miss with them though.

they will go away on their own if u siphon them out regularly and get rid of any excess detrius. ive seen them come and go a few times over the years and i only used FWE once and will never do it again. if u have patience the population will eventually crash.

FWE kills alot of the good flatworms in the system and throws the ecosystem off in the tank. you will never be able to siphon them al out so there will be toxins in the tank. IME whenever u decide to rid your system of a large biomass so quickly there will be some adverse reactions.

I don't think that if the population is within reason that using FWE will cause harm. Now if it's in plague proportions, well i can't attest to that. I have used it on a number of occassions without issues. But that's just my system. I think all the above advice is excellent. If you can syphon some out, by all means do so.
