hello all. is it true that if a glass tank is being moved with a couple inches of water, it will crack the glass? ok now what if you a a nano fiber glass tank with on side see through... would glass or acylic be more stronger for this sort of motion?
ALSO
what is the most efective way to ahve a actual wave system in a reef? to imitate natural waves. ive read about a separate water supply pushing and pulling water from the main display with a long float valve.

Its not so much that the glass will break but that the seams will come loose cause it can not take the stress. Dont move a tank with water in it.

As far as creating waves, the most effective and most realistic way is to build a Carlson Surge Device:

Its fairly easy to do.

More people would use the Tunze Wavebox available at marine depot.
