need a good spot to buy glass for sump

looking for a good price on a sheet of 1/4 glass and have them cut to baffle size. anyone recommend a place in the tri state? I wanted to ask here before going to my most local place.

Why are you looking for 1/4" glass for baffles? The positioning of baffles make them a zero load, no weight bearing, partition. 1/8" glass is 100% adequate, less expensive and takes up less space in what is normally a limited space application.

I've built dozens of sumps and have never used anything more than 1/8" glass and have zero failures.

There is a old man by me that does it in Lindenhurst. Very good guy. Kost glass. I believe he charged me 15 a piece for baffels for a 40 breeder

It is a couple blocks from the Nets Arena.
They cut to size all kinds of glass.

I used a place in Brooklyn can't remember the name right now but i can get the info. I brought 3 pieces of glass for my 30gal sump $6 each and they polished the edges.

I used this place in Lynbrook for my mirror and glass stuff, I don't know the same. There are only 10 minutes from my house so they pick my stuff up and drop it off. They are also aquarium people. Getting baffles made isn't a hard job just go somewhere close by.

http://www.melevsreef.biz/ sells acrylic precut baffles for aqueon tanks. Not sure if that helps you.

Acrylic to glass bonding is weak and easily prone to failure.
Glass to glass or acrylic to acrylic just dont mix the two.

I usually pay 12$ but for small baffles i got one it was 12 by 15 in 1/4 inch glass all polished edges and cost me 12

I went to Kost Glass in lindenhurst. nice guy with a 1 day turnaround. I got 6 baffles cut (each one 17"wide and 13-18" tall with polished edges for $98 bucks
