first of before using band aids why don't you tell us some info about your tank.

How old is the system
How big is the system
How many and how much water change are you doing a month
Do you have a fuge
Do you have a sump
Do you have a skimmer
How much do you feed
How many fish do you have
Do you use RODI water

How about a pic of your entire setup....

60 cube I do a 5 gallon exchange every week and a 15 gal one a month. ive had this set up almost 1 year now. all my water tests are on the money . I have a sump and skimmer, I use only RODI water. I have a niger trigger a hippo tang and one nearly clown plus an ample clean up crew. I feed them once a day and im sure I do not over feed them. im not sure how to set up a pic let me ask one of my friends to help me with that. I do not have a fuge

Just because it reads zero,it does not mean something like po4 or nitrates might be in the water or try changing salt mixes. Are the filters on the rodi changed? However I can be wrong.lol

Read this-- Phosphorus exists in two primary forms in seawater: as inorganic phosphates, especially orthophosphate, and as organophosphate forms. Orthophosphate is readily taken up by algae and is active in inhibiting calcification. The organic forms may or may not be available to organisms such as algae. Aquarists can readily test for inorganic orthophosphate using a standard aquarium phosphate test kit, but testing for organic phosphorus compounds is considerably more tedious. Moreover, if there is an algae problem, then the algae may be consuming the orthophosphate as fast as it enters the water, thereby masking the issue. Consequently, many reef aquarists may not recognize that they have a phosphate problem, only that they have an algae problem.
