It took me a looooong time to get rid of my HA problem and for the past few months my tank was looking better then it ever has but now my sand bed is looking like crap. Can anybody tell me what this is and how to get rid of it ?

Cyanobacteria (red slime algae).

Chemi clean red slime remover or straight erythromycin. It's sold in tabs but it will kill of some good bacteria as well but if your tank is well established it'll be ok.

You can also try to increase your flow where it's growing. Dead spots are its breeding grounds.

You can also do heavier water changes, DONT shut your lights off for 3 days like you'll read. All that does is kill it off temporarily and it will come right back once you return to your normal lighting schedule until you get the issue causing it licked.
